Alexis Coins BELLISM: 21st Century Women Empowerment Alexis recently coined the word BELLISM as her rendition of the 21st Century women's empowerment movement. "Our movement has two main agendas," says Alexis, " to redefine our society's narrow definition of beauty and to remind women everywhere that, we are in fact, on the same team." Thunder Bay: United Women's Run Alexis was asked to be the Keynote speaker for the 30th Anniversary of the Royal LePage Women’s United run in Thunder Bay, Canada. Speaking in front of several thousand women, Alexis had the honor and the opportunity to inspire girls and women ranging from 8-80 years old. Also while in Thunder Bay, Alexis spoke at a corporate event held for the office staff of Royal LePage on the topic of "Dreaming Big." |

The Summit Series: The Most Influential CEO's and Entrepreneurs Under 35 Alexis was cordially invited to attend the Summit Series in Aspen, Colorado. The invite-only event consisted of 115 of the “Most Influential CEO’s and Entrepreneurs Under 35." Alexis joined the prestigious group as the Founder and CEO of i am that girl as well as her motivational speaking company, AWJ. The event also put an emphasis on philanthropy and Alexis had the opportunity to share iatg’s launch of That Girl Goes Global, an international leadership program recently launched in Cambodia. |

Invisible Children Rally in Washington, DC Alexis was asked to join the founders of “Invisible Children,” (a non-profit dedicated to ending a war in Uganda) in order to lobby with them in Washington, DC. Having the honor and privilege of working alongside such courageous boys, Alexis joined actress, Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, and Heroes) in lobbying with Senators and Congressman to discuss the child soldiers in Uganda. Joined by actor, Val Kilmer (Heat, Batman Forever, The Saint) and musician, Peter Wentz (Fall Out Boy); Alexis spoke at a rally in front of thousands of people in hopes of ending the Ugandan war and bringing home the child soldiers of Joseph Kony. |

Being the number one pick by the charity's sponsors paying to play a day of golf with their favorite celebrity, a girl who'd never swung a golf club birdied on the 16th hole. She exercised her famous Texas Tomboy reputation, teeing off from on top of the golf cart, further humbling her competition. |
